FoPH have called a public meeting at St Johns Hall on Friday 22 Oct at 7.30 pm.  The flyer (see below) is attached.  Speakers mentioned are Andrew George MP,  Jan Ruhrmand Penzance Mayor (also works on the MP’s staff) and Cllr Ruth Lewarne (Penzance East).

Comment:

This event is almost certainly too late to affect the decision on funding which apparently may be issued quite early after tomorrow's Government announcements (if it is good news).

The event will be a rally for rather disheartened objectors and probably be used to to try and justify that the “whole Town is against it!”.

We encourage residents to attend and courteously ask whether alternatives are achieveable and, if yes, are they really more acceptable to residents?  The "Save the Meadery Campaign" has 2305 supporters alone - a bad omen for public approval of Option Pz.

See Option Pz presentation (5MB -very large) and our recent critique sent to DofT (Ltr to F Chughtai 12 Oct).  Annexes show the overtoppoing problem (recent photos) and how well Option A fits with regeneration proposals.
