Penzance Harbour jumps last planning hurdle

posted Oct 14, 2010, 2:03 PM by Richard Cliffe

The IOS Ferry Link Project has jumped the last planning hurdle with Cornwall Councillors voting 14 to 5 in favour of granting planning permission for the new sea wall at Penzance (the last bit needing permission).  Only Lib Dem Councillors voted against it (?).  The entire IOS Ferry Link project is now just awaiting the decision on Central Government fundings expected in the 4 weeks following 20 Oct (Govt announcements of results of Comprehensive Spending Review).

Thanks go to Tim Dwelly who spokehighly effectively for us at the meeting and supporters who turned up outside County Hall to give support.
